Heksenwaag
For almost one hundred years, visitors from all over the world, have been visiting the Witches Weighhouse in Oudewater. “The Waag” was in use for witch-trials from the 16th to the 18th century and weighted people that were accused of sorcery. When your bodywieght was below a certain level (light enough to fly on a broomstick) you were determined a witch and burned at the stake.
Nowadays people can still take their place on the large scales and, as in the past, receive their personal certificate.
